The synthetic nature of this molecule makes it an attractive target for analytical methods such as nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. This molecule also shows significant cytotoxicity against cancer cell lines in vitro, as well as inducing tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) production in lps-stimulated murine macrophages.
