4-Bromo-2,6-difluoroaniline is an alkali metal that inhibits cancer cells. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in vitro and in vivo by binding to DNA and RNA. This drug also inhibits the activity of a number of enzymes, including carbonic anhydrase, topoisomerase II, glutathione S-transferase, and phospholipases. 4-Bromo-2,6-difluoroaniline is not cytotoxic to normal cells. The anticancer effect of this drug has been demonstrated in both clinical and laboratory settings.
