Description:
(R)-N-Boc-2-Hydroxymethylmorpholine is an enantioselective synthesis of a drug. It is used in the reductive amination of aldehydes with ammonia, which has been shown to be operationally enantioselective. (R)-N-Boc-2-Hydroxymethylmorpholine undergoes an intramolecular reaction that results in the formation of an azido group. This asymmetric reaction is catalyzed by palladium, and the product can be used for the reductive amination of aldehydes with ammonia.
