It has been observed using FTIR and mass spectroscopy that Boc-Pro-Phe-OH forms hydrogen bonds with the chloride ion. The thermal stability of Boc-Pro-Phe-OH has been measured at 250°C for one hour in air with no decomposition observed. This compound also has a low vapor pressure and can be stored in a liquid state at room temperature.
