• Description: 3-(Boc-amino)propyl bromide is an antimicrobial agent that has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of cancer cell growth in vitro. The mechanism of action of 3-(Boc-amino)propyl bromide is not yet known, but it may be due to its ability to inhibit the uptake of radiotracers by mda-mb-231 cells. 3-(Boc-amino)propyl bromide has also been shown to have a high affinity for proteins and is able to hydrogen bond with them. This property may explain the high salt requirement for its solubility, as well as its toxicity towards bacteria and other microorganisms.
