Product Information
- Boc-DL-Tyr-OH
Boc-DL-tyrosine is an impurity that occurs in the synthesis of Boc-D-amino acids, which are used as synthons for peptide and nonpeptide synthesis. It has been shown to have analgesic properties by acting on the active site of naloxone. Boc-DL-tyrosine is a galactose derivative with a hydroxyl group at C6. The molecular weight of this compound is 288.3 g/mol. This residue has also been shown to be an analog to asialoglycoprotein, which may be due to its amino acid sequence and its ability to form hydrogen bonds with the NH group of asialoglycoprotein.
