Description

This compound belongs to the class of chromones and has a hydrogen bond. It is an inhibitor of malonic acid, with inhibitory activities against both the malonate-dependent and -independent enzymes. In addition, it has been shown that 6-Bromo-3-formylchromone inhibits the production of acetaldehyde from ethanol by reaction rate methods. This substance is thermally stable and can be synthesized in nature. The molecular modelling technique was used to determine its shape and electrostatic potential. It has been observed that this molecule has a centroid at 0.5 nmr, which means it is an aromatic molecule.
