6-Bromochromone is a reactive aryl palladium complex that is used in organic synthesis and DNA repair. 6-Bromochromone has been shown to be unreactive under simulated conditions, with the exception of the hydroxyl group, which can be catalysed by other agents such as chromenone. The bond cleavage on the 6-bromochromone is regiospecific, and thus the reaction may be followed by fingerprint analysis.
