Description:
1-Bromo-3-chlorobenzene is a halide that is used in organic synthesis. It can be synthesized by the palladium-catalyzed cross coupling of an aryl halide and a boronic acid. 1-Bromo-3-chlorobenzene can also be prepared thermally from 1,4 dichlorobenzene and bromine. The compound has been shown to be effective against the covid-19 pandemic virus and is currently being researched for its potential use in treating HIV.
