2-Bromo-5-chlorothiophene is a chemical substance that has been used in the synthesis of other substances. It is commonly used to form a pyridine complex with methyl alcohol, which can be used as a Grignard reagent. 2-Bromo-5-chlorothiophene can also be used to generate dimethylformamide, which can be used as a solvent in the production of polymers.
