Toxicity studies have shown that benzyldimethylstearylammonium chloride hydrate does not cause any adverse effects on humans when exposed to vaporized water at concentrations up to 100 mg/L. In addition, this product does not inhibit the growth of common bacteria such as Escherichia coli and Bacillus subtilis. It also has the ability to be effective against bacteria with increased resistance due to chemical treatments or antibiotic resistance.
