This compound has been shown to have nematic and chiral properties. The temperature range for this liquid is -35°C to +100°C. The chains are linear and the substituents are fluorine atoms. 1-Bromo-2,6-difluoro-4-iodobenzene is also a trifluoromethyl analogue of benzene.
