Description:
Benzoylmesaconine is an alkaloid that is extracted from the roots of aconite plants. It has been shown to have a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, fungi, and viruses. Benzoylmesaconine has also been shown to be effective against infectious diseases in mice when used at low doses. The mechanism of action for benzoylmesaconine is not well understood but may involve inhibition of DNA synthesis or cell division.
