2-Bromo-3-nitrobenzaldehyde is a group P2 hydrogen peroxide nucleophile that has been found to have an architecture of nitro, helical structures. It is one of the most reactive and most studied compounds in its class. 2-Bromo-3-nitrobenzaldehyde has been shown to be able to interact with chloride and proton. This compound can also form supramolecular architectures with other molecules, such as polyphosphoric acid and mercaptoacetic acid. The 2-bromo-3-nitrobenzaldehyde is also capable of forming peroxide when it interacts with chloride or proton.
