It can be used as a self-assembled monolayer for reducing the contact angle on hydrophobic surfaces. 1,3-Bis(3,3,3-trifluoropropyl)-1,1,3,3-tetramethyldisilazane has been used in transistors to increase the conductivity of pentacene monolayer.
