Description:
Bis[2-(trimethylsilyloxy)ethyl] Ether is a fluorinating agent that can be used to prepare fluorinated compounds. It is a transannular reagent, which means it reacts with two atoms at the same time. Bis[2-(trimethylsilyloxy)ethyl] Ether also has low temperatures and can be used at temperatures as low as -78 degrees Celsius. The reaction between this compound and a dimer such as hexachlorocyclopentadiene produces a monomer and an orthogonal product.
