1,4-Bis(4-methylstyryl)benzene is a fluorescent semiconductor that has been used in transistors. It has a number of optical properties including fluorescence and fluorescence resonance, which are observed by FTIR spectra, diffraction, microscopy, and optical absorption. The 1,4-bis(4-methylstyryl)benzene molecule is not soluble in water but it can be dissolved in organic solvents such as tetrahydrofuran and benzene.
