Bistrifluoroacetamide is an antigen binding molecule that has been shown to bind to group P2 proteins. This group of proteins is highly expressed in the human serum, and also plays a role in the development of type 1 diabetes. Bistrifluoroacetamide binds with high affinity to peptides, which may be important for its effect on ATP levels. The chemical structure of bistrifluoroacetamide is similar to fluoroacetic acid, but it does not have the same toxicity as fluoroacetic acid. Bistrifluoroacetamide can be used for wastewater treatment because it absorbs UV light and is more stable than other substances.
