Description:Benzoylphenylalanyllysine fluoromethane is a competitive anticoagulant that inhibits the action of kallikrein, an enzyme involved in the activation of factor XII. This drug is used to prevent or treat thrombosis and embolism. It has been shown to be effective in vitro against coagulation factors II, VII, IX, X, XI, XII and XIII. Benzoylphenylalanyllysine fluoromethane is not metabolized by cysteine proteinase and does not interact with norvaline.
