• Description: 2-[[Bis(4-fluorophenyl)methyl]sulfinyl]acetamide, also known as Modafinil, is a wake-promoting drug that is used in the treatment of excessive sleepiness in patients who are unable to stay awake during the day. It has been approved by the FDA for use in narcolepsy and other sleep disorders. Modafinil is believed to work by promoting dopamine release in the brain, although this has not yet been confirmed.
