Description

Cloprostenol isopropyl ester is a synthetic analog of Cloprostenol, which has been shown to reduce intraocular pressure in humans. It is a competitive inhibitor of the enzyme Carbonic Anhydrase, which catalyzes the conversion of carbon dioxide and water to bicarbonate and hydrogen ions. This compound has been shown to have an effect on pde-5, which is an enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of phosphodiesterase to cGMP. Cloprostenol isopropyl ester also binds to erythrocytes and has been shown to cause vasodilation in animal studies.
