Description:

Cyclopropylmethyl bromide is a fatty acid that binds to the CB2 receptor, which is found in cells of the immune system. It has been shown to have antimicrobial activity, and cyclopropylmethyl bromide has been used as an antimicrobial agent in chronic bronchitis. Cyclopropylmethyl bromide also binds to protease, an enzyme involved in protein digestion. The binding of cyclopropylmethyl bromide to the protease inhibits its activity, and this inhibition can be reversed by removing the cyclopropylmethyl bromide with a solvent such as water. Cyclopropylmethyl bromide has also been shown to bind to filamentous fungi.
