Cyclo(-Gly-Arg-Gly-Asp-Ser-Pro-Ala) binds to the FGA binding site on fibrinogen, preventing the formation of the fibrin clot. Cyclo(-Gly-Arg-Gly-Asp-Ser-Pro-Ala) has been shown to activate platelets, which may be due to its ability to increase levels of cAMP and activate protein kinase A. Cyclo(-Gly-Arg-Gly-Asp-) also has an affinity for monoclonal antibodies, which may be due to its high molecular electrostatic potential or its synthetic nature.
