Description:Cyclo(-Arg-Ala-Asp-D-Phe-Val) is a cyclic peptide that binds to the extracellular domain of the receptor, activating it. It is a protein kinase C activator that has been shown to increase proliferation and survival in vitro studies. Cyclo(-Arg-Ala-Asp-D-Phe-Val) has also been shown to have antiangiogenic effects in vivo and to inhibit the growth of cancer cells. This peptide has not yet been tested for toxicity or carcinogenicity in humans, but preliminary studies on rats show no significant toxic effects.
