This compound degrades by reacting with hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, sodium hydroxide solution, or hydrogen chloride to form 2-chloro-1,3-thiazole or 2-chloromethyltetrahydrothiophene. The pharmacokinetic properties of this compound are unknown.
