Description:Cyclopropanecarboxamidine is an aminocyclopropane carboxylic acid that inhibits the enzyme ns3 protease. Cyclopropanecarboxamidine binds to the active site of the enzyme, preventing it from cleaving peptides and destroying protein structures. This drug has been shown to be effective against psoriasis, which is due to its ability to inhibit sphingosine kinase. Cyclopropanecarboxamidine also has potential for use as an antidote for organophosphate poisoning because of its ability to inhibit gyrase and dpp-iv enzymes.
