- Hydrazine, cyclopentyl-, dihydrochloride
Cyclopentyl hydrazine dihydrochloride is an oxalyl-containing pyrazole derivative that inhibits the tyrosine kinase enzyme. It is a potent inhibitor of the phosphorylation of the protein, which leads to inhibition of cellular function and cancer cell death. Cyclopentyl hydrazine dihydrochloride has been shown to inhibit the growth of human breast cancer cells in culture. It also inhibits the formation of amyloid plaque deposits in Alzheimer's disease and other neurological disorders. Cyclopentyl hydrazine dihydrochloride is used for the treatment of Parkinson's disease, depression, and schizophrenia.
