Camphor benzalkonium methosulfate is a surface-active substance that is used as a cosmetic ingredient. It is also used in wastewater treatment and as a radiation absorber. Camphor benzalkonium methosulfate absorbs ultraviolet (UV) light and has been shown to be photostable, which means that it does not degrade when exposed to light. It has been shown to have skin cancer prevention properties, but the health effects of camphor benzalkonium methosulfate are not well understood.
