Description

Cobalt octoate is a redox potential catalyst that reacts with fatty acids to form ethyl methyl ketones. It has been shown to be reactive and kinetic in the oxidation of fatty acids. The reaction can be affected by temperature, water vapor, boron nitride, and sodium carbonate. Cobalt octoate also increases the viscosity of alkoxy radicals.
