Cannabidiol hydroxyquinone is a synthetic cannabinoid that has been shown to have a number of physiological effects, including anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor properties. It inhibits tumor growth in mice by inducing apoptosis. Cannabidiol hydroxyquinone also has antiangiogenic properties and can inhibit the proliferation of endothelial cells via the inhibition of cyclin B1. This compound is not active when taken orally, but it is effective when injected into the brain. Cannabidiol hydroxyquinone also inhibits the replication cycle of encephalomyelitis virus, which causes inflammation in the brain and spinal cord. Cannabidiol hydroxyquinone has been shown to inhibit cancer cell growth in numerous types of cancer models, including glioma patients and xenografts. In addition, this substance can inhibit angiogenesis by interacting with polymers used for DNA transcription and replication during cell division.
