Brand:Biosynth
Description:Chloromethyl methyl carbonate (CMC) is an anti-influenza drug that inhibits the influenza virus's ability to infect cells by inhibiting cap-dependent endonuclease. It has been shown to be effective against influenza A and B viruses. CMC is a nonaqueous solvent that reacts with halides, such as hydrogen fluoride, magnesium salt, and chloroform, leading to the formation of nitrogen atoms. The nitrogen atoms are then used in a reaction with carbocycles to form molecules. CMC is also shown to be an important precursor for the synthesis of fluorinated pharmaceuticals.
