Chrysoeriol is a natural compound that belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents. It has been shown to have significant cytotoxicity against HL-60 cells and other cancer cell lines, but it does not show any cytotoxic effects on normal cells. Chrysoeriol has also been shown to induce apoptosis in HL-60 cells through the activation of toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) and nuclear factor kappa B (NFκB). The mechanism of chrysoeriol may be due to its p-hydroxybenzoic acid moiety, which binds to the matrix effect response element and polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Chrysoeriol can be used as a potential anticancer agent for leukemia treatment.
