Description:1-Cyanoimidazole is a phosphodiester that is used in the chemical ligation of nucleic acids. It reacts with terminal alkynes to form covalent linkages between DNA molecules, and can be used as a crosslinker for dna duplexes. 1-Cyanoimidazole can be used as a phosphate group replacement in DNA replication.
