Description:

N-Cbz-L-Phenylalanine is a synthetic amino acid that is used as an inhibitor of protease activity. It binds to the active site of a protease enzyme and prevents it from cleaving its substrate peptide bonds, thereby inhibiting the enzyme’s activity. N-Cbz-L-Phenylalanine has been shown to inhibit trypsin from soybean, pancreatic elastase, and chymotrypsin from hog pancreas. This inhibitor has also been shown to inhibit growth factors and other biochemical properties.
