This chemical compound has been found to have hemolytic activity in human blood samples. 2-Chloro-3-Quinolinecarboxaldehyde has shown to have antimicrobial activities against drug resistant bacteria such as methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Clostridium perfringens, Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Molecular docking analysis revealed that this compound binds to integrase enzyme, which is required for HIV replication.
