Product Information
- 2-Chlor-3-formylquinoline
- 2-Chloroquinoline-3-Carbaldehyde
2-Chloro-3-Quinolinecarboxaldehyde is a quinoline derivative that prevents the formation of anion radicals. It also has a high affinity for hydrogen bonds and can be used as an inhibitor for nitro radical, chlorine atom and hydroxyl radical. This chemical compound has been found to have hemolytic activity in human blood samples. 2-Chloro-3-Quinolinecarboxaldehyde has shown to have antimicrobial activities against drug resistant bacteria such as methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Clostridium perfringens, Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Molecular docking analysis revealed that this compound binds to integrase enzyme, which is required for HIV replication.
2-Chloro-3-Quinolinecarboxaldehyde was synthesized by reacting sodium carbonate with N-(2,6-dichlorophenyl)quinolinecar
