Description:Copper glycine is a complex enzyme that contains molybdenum, nitrogen and fatty acid. It is a metal chelate that binds to copper ions and prevents the oxidation of fatty acids. The complex has been shown to inhibit the activity of many different enzymes, including those from group P2 (e.g., pyruvate formate lyase) and nutrient solutions. Copper glycine has also been implicated in antimicrobial peptide synthesis.
