Product Information
- (5-Chloro-2-fluorophenyl)boronic acid
5-Chloro-2-fluorophenylboronic acid is a radiotracer that binds to serotonin receptors. It can be used to study the distribution of serotonin receptors in the brain and to determine the affinity of serotonin receptor subtypes. The 5-chloro group on 5-chloro-2-fluorophenylboronic acid is used as a radiolabel, which can be detected using positron emission tomography (PET) or single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT).
5-Chloro-2-fluorophenylboronic acid has been shown to bind preferentially to serotonin receptor subtype 3A. This compound has also been shown to bind with high affinity to serotonin receptors in the brain.
