4-Chloro-3-nitrobenzenesulfonyl)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinoline (1-(4-chloro-3-nitrobenzenesulfonyl)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinoline) is a sulfonamide that targets neoplasms. It binds to DNA and inhibits the synthesis of proteins by binding to ribosomes. The molecule is also a sulfonylurea that inhibits the production of insulin in pancreatic cells. 1-(4-Chloro-3-nitrobenzenesulfonyl)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinoline has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in animals and has been used as a trifluoromethylating agent for labeling DNA.
