Product Information
4-Chlorophenyl-(2-pyridinyl)methanone is a chiral substrate that binds to the acetoxylation enzyme in the kluyveromyces, which is involved in the biosynthesis of secondary metabolites. It has been shown to inhibit alcohol dehydrogenase and dehydrogenase activity, with an affinity that is higher for short-chain alcohols than for long-chain alcohols. 4-Chlorophenyl-(2-pyridinyl)methanone also inhibits angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE), which leads to a decrease in blood pressure. The enzyme inhibitors of 4-chlorophenyl-(2-pyridinyl)methanone have been studied using simulations and kinetic analyses.
