2-Cyano-3-fluoropyridine is a reactive chemical that is found in the environment as a byproduct of industrial activity. It has been shown to be an allosteric modulator of hepg2 cells, which are responsible for producing glutamate. 2-Cyano-3-fluoropyridine has also been shown to inhibit the growth of tuberculosis and prostate cancer cells. The biological properties of 2-Cyano-3-fluoropyridine are similar to those of amide drugs, such as Valium, which are used for treating anxiety and other psychiatric disorders.
2-Cyano-3-fluoropyridine can react with benzyl groups to form homologous compounds that have been shown to have antihistamine effects.
