Description:

Copper(I) Trifluoromethanethiolate is a thiolate, which can be used as a reagent for the trifluoromethylthiolation of anilines. It has been found to react with phosphorus pentoxide and methoxymethyl chloride in acetonitrile to form complexes. The complex molecules are nucleophilic and can be used for the preparation of complex organic compounds. Copper(I) Trifluoromethanethiolate is also used in crystallography. This compound is volatile and evaporates easily at room temperature.
