Chrysanthellin B is a natural flavonoid that belongs to the group of eriodictyol. It has been shown to have a high capacity for inhibiting insulin resistance and dyslipidemia in animal studies. Chrysanthellin B has also been shown to be an effective molecule in the treatment of diabetes mellitus type II. This compound is found in blueberries and other foods such as chamomile, which has shown strong anti-inflammatory properties. Synthetic forms of this molecule are being studied as treatments for inflammation and cancer prevention.
