Description

Cineole is a monoterpene that belongs to the group of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. It has been shown to have synergistic effects with other drugs, such as piroxicam and phenylbutazone. Cineole has been shown to inhibit the activity of Jak2 v617f and its downstream signaling pathways, which are involved in the proliferation and migration of leukocytes. Cineole also inhibits the expression of proinflammatory cytokines such as PGE2, which leads to an improvement in the survival of HL-60 cells. Cineole may be used for treatment of chronic inflammatory diseases such as infectious diseases.
