Description:Cochinchinenin A is a molecule that belongs to the family of polyketides. It has been shown to inhibit osteoclast formation, which is an important factor in bone resorption and the development of diseases such as Alzheimer's disease and cancer. Cochinchinenin A binds to extracellular calcium ions with a binding constant of 10 μM and has shown synergistic interactions with other molecules in vitro, including linear calibration curve. The concentration of cochinchinenin A in serum was detectable at 1 nM, with a maximal response at 5 μM. This molecule has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties through its ability to inhibit the production of cytokines by macrophages.
