Product Information
- Cinnamyltriphenylphosphonium bromide
- (3-Phenyl-2-propenyl)triphenylphosphonium bromide
- triphenyl[(2E)-3-phenylprop-2-en-1-yl]phosphonium bromide
Cinnamyltriphenylphosphonium Bromide is a photoreceptor that is used in organic solvents, such as methylene chloride. It has an intramolecular hydrogen bond between the phenyl ring and the triphenylphosphine moiety. This intramolecular hydrogen bond is sensitive to the presence of aldehydes, carboxamido groups, and formyl groups. Cinnamyltriphenylphosphonium Bromide also has reversible photosensitivity depending on the concentration of the solvent.
