Description:Copper(I) bromide dimethyl sulfide complex is an organic compound that has been used as a catalyst in palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions. It has also been used as an azide source in the preparation of bioconjugates with sulfides and carbonyls. This compound can be prepared by dissolving copper(I) chloride and dimethyl sulfide in a suitable solvent, such as deuterium oxide or chloroform. The CuBrS complex is insoluble in many solvents, so it cannot be isolated from a reaction mixture by simple filtration. The response pathway for this compound is not well understood.
