Description:4-(Difluoromethyl)benzaldehyde is a nucleophilic compound that reacts with electrophiles. It reacts with chlorides to give the corresponding substitution product, which can be hydrolyzed to the acid ethyl ester. 4-(Difluoromethyl)benzaldehyde is not very soluble in water and has a low volatility, making it difficult to extract from organic solvents.
