Description

2,4-Dimethoxyphenyl acetic acid is a synthetic compound that has been used as a pharmacological agent in the treatment of high blood pressure. This compound is chiral and optically active, giving it an R or S configuration. The reaction rate for 2,4-dimethoxyphenyl acetic acid has been found to be faster when in contact with phosphite ions than without.
