It has been shown to form micelles in the ternary phase, which are morphologies that have been analyzed using light and electron microscopy. 1,4-Dioxan-2-ylmethanol is also able to react with ethylene to form polymers, which can be used for a variety of applications. The structural analysis of this compound was achieved by NMR and IR spectroscopy methods.
